PublicationsThe Federation has published a regular journal since 1975. Until 1998 this was Ulster Local Studies, followed by Due North. Many Societies publish their own journals. Some do so regularly, even annually, and some are less frequent. Some Societies also produce other publications about a range of subjects and people. The Northern Ireland Publications Resource (NIPR) was set up in October 2000 to redress the lack of a National Library or any place with a legal obligation to systematically collect all the material published locally. The NIPR issues a quarterly update of new acquisitions. This is an invaluable source of information to local societies and individuals. Website at Northern Ireland Publications Resource
