Subject: Federations' Trip North

Hi John,

Attached are 14 e-mails that I have got so far praising the weekend.

Like I said already, “this praise is in my name but it is a reflection on the weekend organised by both of us so it is as much thanks to you as it is to me.” We did this together as a team and all this positive response is a measure of how well we did it together.

So John take a “bow” for a great job well done, you certainly deserve it.

Please note that one couple were particularly praising Ulster, the people and the places as were others as well. I thought it was a great advertisement for the home province.

Make sure you share this good news with all those involved in the venture.

Many thanks again for all your work and effort and all the help you gave me in making this a most memorable trip,

Anne sends her best wishes to Jenifer and all,

Take care,

Hi Larry,

Thank you so much for organising that wonderful trip to Antrim and Down last weekend. It was my first time in the area and memories have been created.I'd like to thank both yourself and Ann for the hospitality shown to us as we began and ended our trip.

I hope that some day when you visit your daughter in Carrigaline you might have some time to spare around the Cork area. The site of the gunpowder mills at Ballincollig Regional Park is very interesting and we could organise a walk there with Rod. Blarney Castle and gardens are well worth a visit also, two of my family work there.

Best wishes to Ann & yourself, hope you enjoy the summer,

Kathleen Flynn

Dear Larry,

Many many thanks to yourself for leading a wonderful trip filled with interesting visits and , of course, people.

I look forward to joining you again on some future trip.

Best wishes,

Hi Larry,

Thank you for arranging such a great trip, everything went splendidly.

I do appreciate all the work you but in on behalf of the Federation.

I don't know if you take advance booking, but if you do please put me on the list for next April's trip to England, I would very much like to go. I missed Devon because I was not quick enough off the mark!

Regards to Anne

Take care

Hi Larry.

Thanks for everything. I was back in Tipp before ten o'clock. Today is wet here, so once again we were very fortunate with the weather - what I am coming to think of as 'Larry's Weather'!!!

Hi Larry,

Congratulations, the trip was a great success. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. It was great meeting so many friends, old and new, and sharing our interests while receiving a warm welcome everywhere we went.

Your hard work and attention to detail is much appreciated. Your choice of venues was delightful and inspirational, accommodation and meals were top class.

Kind regards to you and Anne

My dear Larry and Anne

It was such a joy to travel North with you at the weekend. We really enjoyed our days. You must be so proud of your Ulster. The Red Arrows made it for Dick, as he is ex R.A.F. For me, it was everything. Not a dull moment. I was talking to a woman from Belfast this morning, and telling her all about it. People down here are missing out by not going north for holidays.

Great trip Larry, really very well done by yourself and all your team.

Pleasure to have been a part of it, and looking forward to doing some more.

I was just about to email you to thank you for organising a great trip. Regards to you and Anne .Ihope to join you on future trips.

Maura Norris .

Larry and Anne,

Thank you both so much for organising yet another delightful trip, as always it was just great and we packed so much into such a short time.

Wishing you both all the best for the rest of the summer and looking forward to our next trip already!

Betty Fitzgerald
